Hi,
I get the following exception from ViewSmith:
"Memory allocation failed: Valid engine options do not have enough memory to work on. Try setting device type again or reduce memory load if the problem persists."
This happens when I change the chart.RenderOptions.DeviceType to HardwareOnlyD9. Further, I have a couple of charts being initiated. Have you came across a similar issue before?
Thanks.
Regards,
Lokesh

Re: Exception from ViewSmith
Hi Lokesh,
I just tested with LightningChart v8.1.2.1 WinForms. I created 40 empty Smith and see no significant difference between HardwareOnlyD9 and HardwareOnlyD11. The memory allocation is about 700 MB and no exception during initialization.
It is probably specific to version you are using (which one?); or Graphic drivers (which on, DxDiag output please); or other settings (your app for testing please).
Please check that memory is really the problem => 'Process Explorer': GPU & CPU usage, number of threads etc.
All the best.
