License Key Error

Dear Arction Support:

A few of our customers have reported the following error message that shows when running on machines that have strict firewall settings:
LightningChartUltimate License Key Error:
Unable to parse license data.
Check LicenseKey property.

I am not certain that the firewall settings are the issue, but that is the only common thread I am aware of where this error message displays. This is a very small percentage of our users, and we have not been able to reproduce the issue in-house, even when trying to lock down our own firewall settings. Do you have any ideas for further investigating how to resolve this issue?

Currently the license checking does not use any internet connection and can't set any requirements for firewall. So it can't be the reason.

Maybe you have obfuscated your dlls and LC license key goes obfuscated (and thus invalid)? If using obfuscation tool, please prevent the strings, or at least license key string, from being obfuscated.

This was fixed in v.7.1.

- FIPS compliant license key checking, does not fail to License key parse error. It did that System Cryptography: 'Use FIPS compliant algorithms' was enabled in Windows Securityp Policy.
